{I was just day dreaming}

So, if you know me IRL then you know that a few years ago I was engaged. Yes. Engaged. How don't I have a husband you ask? Drama. That's all I'll say about it. K? :) But now that things are going so well with us again, I'm starting to get the itch on my ring finger. I've told D time and time again that I won't pressure him to get engaged. I don't want to push it on him like I did the first time. I basically told him last time that if we weren't engaged after 3yrs that we needed to just forget about it because clearly it was never going to happen. So I got the ring..

  (b-e-a-u-tiful isn't it? huge though. And came up missing while I was in the hospital with Bug.)

So as Christmas approaches I once again have my heart set on getting engaged. Of course I can't get my hopes up because chances are D (who says it'll never happen now) will never get the itch. Doesn't stop me from searching for that perfect ring though lol. And that's what I did today, googled engagement rings. But now I'm going in a more antique direction isntead of the 'princess' cute diamond with a plain silver band. I want a little more bling, with an antique feel. Something that my grandmother would have gotten (although hers is a gold band).

I have fallen in love with this one. I think it's classic and blingy :). I think it's friggin' perfect and if I was choosing a ring for myself (which I did last time) I would absolutely want something like this. It's a 3/4 carat art deco with matching wedding band. How can you not fall in love with this ring? Of course who could look at engagement rings without also looking at wedding dresses?

Should I get married I want something simple. No big fancy wedding. Something outdoors and small with just family and friends. ;) Which means a big princess ball gown isn't going to fit in real well. So I want something A-line, sort of vintagy but still a tad bit modern.

Of course I would want the pink sash ;).

OK- I'm done lol.

{It's almost time!}

So here I am! Yay! D got the evil virus off my computer by doing a simple restore. I am so happy to be done with it. So thank heaven for D and his computer genius.

On to other things, Halloween is this weekend! Woohoo! I'm so excited! Bug is going as a clown this year. I tried his costume on him yesterday and a 2T doesn't fit. It's too small. *Grr* So I have to go get another one tomorrow and hopefully they still have one (and in his size). If not he'll have to be something else. Since he just got dressed up in a black and red costume last year, I would really love for him to get the experience this year, ya know? G is going as either SpiderMan or BatMan. He hasn't made up his mind yet, but he got both last year for Christmas/his birthday. So we're in the clear there. The drama queen isn't allowed to trick-or-treat this year. We threatened her with no Halloween a month ago when she refused to play by the rules at school or at home. She continued to behave badly so we took it from her. She's not allowed to go trick-or-treating, get a costume, or anything of that nature. This Friday they're having a Halloween parade at school and she doesn't even get to dress up for that. Do I feel bad about taking her Halloween from her? Sure. Do I think it will make a difference? Not in the slightest. She still thinks that she's going to get to go. She's wrong. D and I have talked about it several times. She gets nothing and I informed her that the other kids don't have to share their candy with her. *Sigh*

I have a parent/teacher meeting with both teachers tomorrow morning. *Ugh* I just wonder what they're gonna tell me.

Poor Fishies

OK I still don't have that damn virus off my laptop. It's starting to annoy me but thanfully I have my fabulous palm centro :). Keep your fingers crossed that I can get it figured out soon. The sooner the better.

G and the drama queen are getting much better. What sucks is that I still can't find who her doctor is and D doesn't have a clue. Apparently she has never been to him before. I'm about to just take her to the boys' doctor and be done with it. She doesn't have a fever anymore though. Just a cough. Nothing serious. G isn't having any more bloody noses and he was feeling good enough to joke around with me on the phone today. Yay!!

D and I took the kids to walmart tonight. We got Bugs Halloween costume (clown) and looked around for a while. Since it was gross outside there was nothing else to do. We strolled into the pet section to pick up some temp food for the dogs (we ran out of ours yesterday and I couldn't get to the store today), and decided to check out the fish. What we saw was just gross! The tanks are in bad need of a good cleaning. The rocks haven't been changed in months and there were actually DEAD fish in the filters. Oh but that's not the end of it, 1 of the fish was actually decaying...you could see bone. I took pictures. its so disgusting. they're just fish and all, but they should be taken better care of than that.

OK. I better go now I've gotta get some sleep.

Viruses are evil!!

Oh my gosh I have such craptastic luck with laptops. I decided to attempt to download a program from limewire. I should have known better but did I listen to my gut? Of course not! In my defense though I did scan it with AVG and it picked up nothing. So really is it all my fault? Let's just blame it on AVG. So this virus refuses to leave my computer.. It's kind of like the last annoying person at a party and its like 3am but you can't get them to leave. Don't tell me you've never experienced something like that. Anyway, no matter how many times I run AVG and Windows Defender the damn thing is there when I restart the computer. I think I'm going to have to go to the actual file...or try to and try to delete it from there. And when I say 'I' I mean D lol. I'm not about to get in there and screw something up any more than I already have. So as we speak my glorious laptop is sitting in the living room all alone and turned off. So sad. If anyone has any ideas as to how wlse to g
et rid of said evil virus, don't hesitate to let me know.

So the drama queen is still sick and so is G. the doctor actually called today and said that G has strp on top of the flu. How fun. Luckily the antibiotic they gave him should clear everything up. Now I just need to figure out who the drama queens doctor is so that I can gether in there to see him and be done with all this crap. Luckiky Bug got the flu shot at his 2yr checkup so he won't get sick again...at least not from this. I on the other hand was not smart enough to get that shot so I'll probably get it. Blah.

Alrighty so everyone wish me luck with this virus. Hopefully we can get rid of it. I shall blog again soon (thanks to mail2blogger).

{I'm still here}

Oh man, I can't believe that I haven't blogged since last Thursday. I haven't even been that busy lol. I guess I just can't come up with anything interesting to blog about these days. But lord knows I'll never stop completely lol. I'm addicted (don't look at me that way you know you are too!).

So Friday night my grandmother gave me a call to inform me that G was sick. He had complained of an upset tummy that morning but he is just like me when it comes to school, he doesn't want to get up in the morning and go (who does?). So I told him he had to go to school and if he was still sick when he got there to tell his teacher. The school never called so I assumed he was fine. Anyway- all weekend I was getting reports of 103 temps and coughs. Finally on Sunday he got a serious bloody nose (he does that sometimes at their house because it's so dry there). I called his doctor on Monday and she wanted to see him. Turns out the poor kid has Influenza A (which contains pig flu..lovely). So he is out of school for the week. The drama queen is also sick with the same thing I'm guessing. D refuses to make an appointment for her or tell me who to make an appointment with. *Ugh* But yeah- so they are both sick. Luckily Bug already had whatever they have and is over it, same with D. We're thinking Bug got it first (how I wouldn't know). Little booger.

Other than that things have been pretty quiet. Nothing too exciting (or fun). I do have a couple movie reviews for you though :). Here we go!

Hilarious!! Oh my gosh! The beginning has a very Devil Wears Prada feel to it and she was def. channeling her inner Meryl Streep. I thought Ryan Reynolds was super f'ing hot! But who doesn't love him right? I think if you are a fan of either 2 actors you should see this movie, but even if you're not..see it anyway :).

Next up is...

Totally creepy and disgusting but def. worth the money to rent it. The main character; Christine Brown, also plays Astrid in White Oleander. A movie I love. Anyway- if you like creepy movies with a twist, see it.

Alrighty- I guess that's about it. I shall blog again soon my dears!

{In the Spirit of the Season}

I know that Halloween is still 2 weeks away, but after the conversation I just had with D's BFF I think this post is fitting.

I believe in ghosts. My house is haunted. I'm not kidding. Stop laughing at me! An example? OK, how about this; a year ago I had all 3 kids in bed fast asleep. I thought hells yeah I'll take a nice long hot bath and relax before bed. D was snoring away on the couch, I wouldn't be interrupted. So there I am, sitting in the bathtub reading my book, when I hear someone walk up and down my hall. I said, "Honey?" Thinking D had gotten up. I went on about my business in the tub and was in there for about another 10-15min. When I got out of the tub I checked on the 3 kids- still sleeping- I checked on D- still snoring. No one was up in the house but me. The dogs were even sawing logs. So tell me who walked up and down my hall?

We used to get a lot more odd things happen, but then we got this dude..
Mr. Bigglesworth (aka Mr. Big aka Big)

D says that cats ward off spirits/ghosts. I guess it's true. I know it sounds weird. But it's true. It's not my first experience with a ghost either.

The above is a picture of my grandpa and G (my sister too lol) when he was just bitty. He died in '05. One night shortly after he died I was in our bedroom getting ready for sleep, D was on the other side of the house in the bathroom. I heard a male voice say, "Kristin." I turned to see if D was standing in the other room, not there. So I headed for the bathroom to see if D had called me in there for some unknown (and most likely disgusting reason). Nope. He hadn't called to me. I chalked it up to my grandpa. Letting me know he was still there, that he was still thinking of me even in his afterlife. Do I sound crazy? Tough.

There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of people that have experienced haunting. In IL alone there are a ton. Check this link out. There's nothing in there about Springdale Cemetery though. There is a Witches Circle up there that is the most scary place to be, even in the day time. I can't imagine the night time. It's crazy. You just get a horrible feeling when walking into the circle. Check out what I found online about it. Click. That's just one persons experience. Imagine how many other people just think they're crazy and have never told their experiences? What do you guys think?

Have you experienced the paranormal? I love to hear other peoples stories!

{The boring Life of me}

Oh my sweet sweet blog readers, you are going to get so tired of reading about this someday lol. Probably sooner rather than later right? Tough. Who saw GND last night? *Raises hand* Me! I staid up until 1am to watch it because my DVR somehow decided to not record it. Ridiculous. To my surprise, I don't hate the twins as much as I thought I did..although I do still think they're gold diggers. But we all thought the same thing about HBK when they were around too right? So I'm sure the new girls will grow on us just as the old ones did. Suck it up haters! CKK is here to stay! Woot Woot!

And while we're on an entertainment subject; see My Life in Ruins. Really good movie. We just watched it tonight. Also if you haven't seen Marley & Me, see that!! But be prepared to cry because no matter how hard I fought it those tears just fell from my eyes like a waterfall. I can't talk about it too much or I'll give it away for anyone who might not have seen it. It made me want to hug my dogs. So sad.

OK, on to a real post. I didn't get to go to the Bark in the Park on Sunday. It was super cold and gross out. Walking down by the river with 2 chihuahuas in the cold, does not sound like a good time to me. Plus I would have had to go alone because D was sick all weekend. *Ugh* I seriously hate it when he is sick. He's such a big baby! When he's sick everyone around him is supposed to be completely quiet and not bother him, while still obeying his every command (which I have a hard time doing on a regular day). He got to sleep and go about his business lounging and stuff, but when I'm sick I still have to take care of a baby. Double standard much? *Blah* He's feeling better now though apparently because he has been on his x-box for an hour playing Halo with some little kid. *Gag*

So, I need a new bra. I haven't bought one for about 2 (almost 3) years now. I've been breastfeeding for 2yrs wearing the same tired nursing bra (oh yes ladies, I only have 1 bra..sue me). D took it upon himself yesterday to pick me up a bra from Dollar General. Don't get me wrong, I love that he thought of me. But he doesn't know my size (he bought a 40D) and he doesn't know my style (underwire with a little padding is a must). Essencially he bought me an old lady bra. *Sigh* I guess I'll have to take him with me to Victoria Secret when I go to get my new one. I don't know if I like the fact that he thinks a 40 would fit me either...hmm.

I think that's pretty much all thats happened this weekend. Other than the drama queen being grounded (no surprise there these days). I'm sure I'll have more to report on at some point ;).

October 10, 2009

{Saturday Randomness}

So here I am. I don't have a clue what to write about right now, I just felt the need to blog. Does that ever happen to you? There's certainly nothing interesting happening at the moment, or even this weekend. We've got a 4 day weekend with the drama queen and G. But nothing planned. I'm getting geared of for GND tomorrow night and hopefully *fingers crossed* Bark in the Park tomorrow with the pups. We'll see though. I don't like to take them out when it's super cold out and I'll have to convince D that it needs to happen lol. He used to love doing that stuff but now it's such a hassle since we have Bug. I guess we'll see tomorrow huh?

A friend of mine (on the chihuahua forum) posted about November being National Novel Writing Month. Sounds cool huh? I've always wanted to be a writer. Since I was little. Since I could form a sentence on paper. No joke ladies. But I've never been able to finish a story. It always drops off and kind of fizzles. I don't ever get past the first couple chapters. I've decided to go ahead and sign up for this challenge. I guess we'll see what becomes of this. Do you think you could do it?

The lady next door to us is moving out; she sold her trailer. I gotta say, I'm pretty happy to see her go. Her dogs were seriously annoying (barked the entire time they were outside) and she always seemed to decided early mornings were the best times to mow her lawn. Nice right? I saw the new neighbor today. Apparently it's just a woman. No sign of dogs ;).

And just so you all know, Year One with Jack Black is horrible. It's not funny in the slightest. The funniest part is when the dude pees in his own face. Just thinking about that makes me giggle lol. However, Zach and Miri Make a Porno is hilarious. The story isn't that funny, but Seth Rogen is amazing so I'll laugh at pretty much anything he says lol. You should all run to BlockBuster and rent it (or que it up on your NetFlix)!! Stay tuned for a review of My Life in Ruin tomorrow ;). Lord I love BlockBuster!

I think that's enough randomness for one Saturday night. Later ladies!

{So "Tempting"}

"I've got so much honey the bees envy me. I've got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees." Oh my gosh! I am so friggin' excited to tell you all what I did last night! For those that don't know; I'm a huge music fan. I like things from Patsy Cline to the Backstreet Boys, from the Temptations to Ozzy Osbourne. I don't discriminate when it comes to music. I give it all a chance. I am in love with most of it. And last night, I fulfilled a music lovers dream! I saw the temptations live!! No joke ladies! *Giggles* I have always loved their music, odd because I was born in the 80's and they were a 60's and 70's group. But what music lover can say that don't like them? I mean, seriously. Anyway- my moms fiance got free tickets (he has the hookup) to the show and my mother invited my grandmother and I to go along. The seats were not amazing but we were close enough. The guys put on an amazing show! Obviously they were not the originals. The only original temptation was Otis. But didn't make a difference to me, they sounded amazing! They did all the favorites; "Just My Imagination", "The Girls Alright", "Can't Get Next to You", and of course "My Girl". It was just amazing! I didn't take my camera because I didn't know if you could take pics. I snapped a few on my phone, but none of them turned out very good. I do have a couple videos I've uploaded. But once again, they stink. Clearly camera phones are not for concerts *sigh*. But at least I have the memories..right? :) And who can say, "I've seen the Temptations in concert!"? Not too many people I'm sure! Woohoo me!
And now moving on. It's time for a movie review (don't you love that I see so many movies these days..even though most of them have been out on DVD forever? lol). Tonight it was Bride Wars with Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway. Good movie. Didn't suck. Wasn't awesome like I thought it would be. Even though I love both actresses, it just wasn't a movie I would see a million times and not get tired of it. So that's my review. To tell you the truth, this movie really got me thinking about wedding dresses lol. I love their dresses! Amazing!

This Sunday is Bark in the Park here in good ol' Peoria. I really want to go but if it's super cold I don't think we'll make it :(. So everyone cross your fingers for jacket weather :).
OK, I must be going now. Later lovlies!

{Chuck-E-Cheese! Where a kid can be a kid!}

I decided I'm not going to bore you all with a big long post about how much fun we had at Chuck-E-Cheese last night. Because we absolutely did have a blast! But I'll let the pictures speak for me.
Playing in the baby room with his big brother.

Weeee! Going down the slide!

He must have ridden that horse a million times.

Daddy kicking butt!

It was way too big for him, so daddy had to help :).

This was the only chuck-e he wasn't scared of. Go figure.

The cutest picture of the whole night!

The drama queen and her friend.

Yeah you hit those ABC's!!

lol he loves that hat!

I didn't get any of the cake, but it was the typical one from Chuck-E-Cheese. No big deal, very tasty though!

It was a good night. Everyone had so much fun and I'm so glad we went and had it there. For future reference if you're planning on having a party at Chuck-E-Cheese Wednesday is the night to do it. There was hardly anyone there at all, which made it WAY more enjoyable.

October 6, 2009

{Pretty Random}

 Who (besides me) is excited about the new season of GND? Don't lie girls. You know that you can't help but watch. Over the last 5 seasons we (the fans) fell in love with Holly (Madison), Bridget (Marquardt), and Kendra (Wilkinson). But they've gone now *tear*, Holly is doing PeepShow in Vegas, Bridget got a show on the Travel Channel, and Kendra is married with a baby bump. And so Hef has moved on to 3 new girls, Karissa and Kristina Shannon and Crystal Harris. I am not a fan of the twins, but I wasn't a fan of Kendra either. I think they are her times 2 to tell you the truth. Crystal I enjoy; I think she's pretty and she make a great new Holly ;-). Crystal is Hef's #1 girl. Love her. Anyway- I just had to share that. You should all tune in on Sunday (this Sunday) at 10pm and watch! Woohoo! I'm excited to see how things have changed..I'm really excited to see the other girls make appearances since there have been rumors that the original 3 don't like the new 3. We shall see I suppose.

On to other things. The lovely lady who had my Thumbelina for 15mo. (long story) has become like an aunt to all of us. She recently sent Boss Hogg a new coat for winter (yes, I'm that chihuahua mommy). Check it out! It's really soft and the best part is it's a wrap so that Boss doesn't have to stand still for me to get a coat on him. I just wrap him and go. Lovely.

It's amazing that he sat still long enough for me to snap this pic. No joke.

Tomorrow is Bugs birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese. I'm excited about it, and a little nervous too. We don't expect a big turn out because of the day and time. But Whatever right? I'll be there and so will his dad and his siblings. In the end that's really all that matters. So boo. Just be expecting a ton of pics! Woohoo!

Alrighty- I better go. I've got a ton of stuff I need to do. Later girls!

October 4, 2009

{Such a cheap date}

 I tell you what ladies, no one is going to be able to say that my Bug has expensive taste. At least not until he figures out how to work the x-box (which is quickly approaching since he is already in love with Halo *sigh*). Yesterday (his birthday) we took him to Toys R Us to pick out a gift. We walked up and down almost every isle (skipping the girl toys) searching for a toy that he wouldn't let us put back on the shelf. Of course when we went through the Power Wheels he wanted one (which we decided is going to be a great Christmas gift next year!) but we convinced him they were "broke" and walked away. Then we came to a bin of bouncy balls. You guessed it. My little Bug wanted one. We were offering him expensive toys all that time and he chose a $2 ball. *Sigh* He is probably the most awesome 2yr old on earth (at least in my eyes lol). We walked through the toys again (because D just couldn't let him leave with just the ball) and he found a little key board (for babies obviously) and wanted that. So that's what he got for his birthday. Well, on top of the 2 Halloween books that I picked up Barnes and Nobel for him. He also ended up with 3 new outfits from Dollar General (stop laughing at me, they Fischer Price!) because he has (or had I guess) no fall/winter clothes. The kid grows like a flippin' weed. It's ridiculous.

His birthday party is Wed. at Chuck-E-Cheese. We're pretty excited about it and expect a ton of pics to appear the following day (or even that night if I can stay up that long lol). I just hope he doesn't get freaked out by the characters. I guess he'll just be stuck like glue to mommy if that happens won't he? So really, it won't be any different than any other day *haha* :-).

And now for some adorable pics I snapped with my phone yesterday on our adventures. Don't lie, I know that's why you're here right now ;-).

In his cute new Dollar General outfit. On the way to Toys R Us.

That piggy back ride was fun for about 2 seconds. Then he wanted mom.

"driving" the Power Wheel of his choice. Still just a 'tad' too small for it.

He did find a trike he enjoyed though.

I could have sworn I took more pictures than that. Apparently not, how sad. He looked so cute! :-)

And now on to my other little man, G. Kat from Kats Creations made this :-). Isn't it so cute? She did an amazing job :-).

Alrighty- I better let ya'll get back to your blog stalking :-).

October 3, 2009

{Lovin' my boy since 2007}

Before I get into my post, I just have to let you all know about the awesome giveaway going on over at Theta Mom. She's giving away an adorable bracelet from Lauren Nicole Gifts. It is super cute and I hope I win it :).

And now on to the awesome blog for the day. Does anyone know what today (oct 3rd) is? Yup, someones birthday! It's Bug's birthday!! Would you believe he's 2 whole years old today?! Well I certainly don't. I'm heartbroken :(. He didn't stay little long enough. Before I know it he's going to be going to school, and then graduating, and off to college, and then *sigh* he'll get married and have heathens of his own. So sad.

But since I know you came here for the pics, I'll get down to 'em. I made a nifty video instead of posting pics one by one (hey, I'm a busy mom! What do you want from me?!)

October 1, 2009

{What's cookin' Good lookin'?}

I am one of those mothers that does whatever meal is quick and easy. If it comes out to be something fabulous with great nutritional value, fab. If not, I shall survive. I don't let it eat at me if my kids don't get a veggie or if they choose to eat PB&J over meatloaf (especially mine which always comes out wrong). As long as they eat something (with the exception of just potato chips..which they would love). Anyway- so tonight is no different. I went for the quick and (semi) easy. A dish my grandmother made when we ran out of pretty much everything else lol. It quickly became a favorite in our house (if only because of the sausage *ha*).

(please excuse my ridiculous stove...we rent.)

Fried Potatoes with Summer Sausage and Green Beans. *drools* Doesn't it look delicious?! I can smell it cooking as we speak and I tell you ladies it's all I can do not to jump up and eat it out of the pan. I just keep repeating to myself that that would burn o_o. I can't wait to fill my plate with this yummy dish! You should all try it (if you haven't already)!

I had Bugs 2yr check up today *holds back the tears*. I can not believe that my little man is going to 2 years old on Saturday. It's awesome and sad all at the same time. Filling out the form they have you do almost killed me. I had to face up to the fact that he can, in fact, do a ton of things. He can kick balls and pretend a cup is a phone. He can name his body parts and he speaks actual words that others can understand. I don't know where the time went but it sure didn't waste any...time...taking my baby from me. Annoying. Someone should figure out how to stop this so called "aging process". Blah. OK, I'm off track; Bug is now 25lb. 15oz (25th %) and 32in. (40th %). She said he acts like a normal 2yr old (harsh, I know). His birthday party is next Wednesday at Chuck-E-Cheese. Can't wait to post those pics!

And before I go, the drama queen is making me crazy! She has gotten in trouble at school 4 days in a row. I already took Halloween from her. It probably won't hold up though because D seems to think that you can't take things away from her and actually make it stand. You have to just slap her on the hand and be done. I know damn good and well that's exactly what she's thinking too. "Daddy is going to let me do whatever I want." She doesn't care about any punishments because her dad always come home and wants to give her whatever I've taken from her. I swear if he buys her a Halloween costume, I'm throwing it in the garbage. I told her she's not having tv, toys, outside, NOTHING if she got a bad note again today. Well obviously she came home with one. So she has been in her room since she got home. Her dad just gave her everything back. And the worst part? He rented a kids movie for the family to watch (normally would be super nice of him), and decided that he would reward her for ridiculous behavior by letting her watch the movie. Seriously? I mean, SERIOUSLY?!?! I am PISSED.
