{Wedding Wednesday}

I can't believe it's so close! And since I'm pretty much done planning I thought I'd just a fun video :) I found this looking for wedding entrance ideas and I fell in love with it!

Amazing right?! I've watched it about a million times now. I wish we could do something like that, but neither of us have that kind of rhythm lol.

Just thought I'd pass that little gem to those that want something awesome to do for their wedding reception :).

{I'm sick :(}

I don't know what D has but he is spreading his disease through out my house and I do not heart that at all. He got sick on Friday, came home from class with a terrible cold. He slept pretty much all afternoon and most of the day Sunday (working on Saturday was a bad idea in my opinion). I felt so bad for him. On top of him having a regular he also had a 'man cold' and we all know how that works. *sigh*

But last night I went to bed with stuffy nose (as did the little boy) and now I've got a swimming head, a runny nose, and a mild headache. Not pleasant in the slightest. So I laid on the couch most of the day (after cleaning up my kitchen) and once D got home from class I passed out in a hurry.

At bed time D said he wanted the couch and that he would tuck me in the bed so I could sleep in there. He first covered me with 1 sheet, and I told him I used both of them. He'd already put the comforter on me so he just wadded the 2nd sheet up and stuck it on my butt. I laughed and asked him what he was doing and told him he sucked at tucking people in lol.

He said, "I can't help it babe, I'm not a nurturer, I'm a provider." LOL Goober.

{Makeup makes me happy!}

I have never been one to jump around when it comes to make up (like I stated in a previous post), but with this wedding coming up I've been trying to figure out what I want to do with my face & hair on the day.

My hair was an easy find, something simple that wouldn't give me a headache but would look good with veil. Easy enough. But the makeup part was giving me fits. But thanks to Youtube I managed to find something I enjoyed! Woohoo!

And it is this..

I got mine in Buff because Ivory was far too light for me. I can not say enough good things about this foundation. It lasts forever and blends amazing and it covers my problem areas! I love it!!

The only thing I don't love about it is that I'm one of those women that puts a dot of foundation in each area and then blends it together. You can't do that with this foundation, it dries too fast, so you have to blend as you go. Which works out fine. It obviously isn't a serious problem or I wouldn't be raving about it right? lol

Now I know that it's mildly expensive (I got it at walmart for $10), and I try not to spend that much on makeup when I don't have to. But it is certainly worth the money! I wouldn't pay more for it, but it certainly is worth what I paid :).

Another item I am loving right now is E.L.F. Cream eye shadow in butter pecan.

I am so in love with this eye shadow! It goes on and stays where it's supposed to. I just put it on my finger and dab it on until I have the darkness or style I want. It lasts all day and will absolutely be the eye shadow I wear for my day. It's fantastic! The best part? It's only a $1!! You can't beat that. Of course the shipping is crazy, $6.95 but you can buy a ton for that shipping price, it doesn't go up with every item you buy. I heart it! You should check it out without a doubt.

So there is my makeup post :).

{Wedding Wednesday}

O.M.G. Things are finally coming together for this wedding and I could not be happier about it!

D and I went yesterday to get our marriage license (ahh!) and Little Boys papers to change his last name (he has my last name right now because we weren't together when he was born). So that is out of the way and as soon as the wedding is over we can drop them back off at the court house and be done with that! Woohoo! I'll officially be Mrs. D! lol

I got all the bouquets done and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.

This was before I snipped off the ends so excuse those.

My something blue is taken care of also.

I bought my dress (also bought my comb to attach to my veil and my veil but not all from the bridal store thanks to Hobby Lobby & Claires), D called Famous Daves last night to see about getting catering. My bridesmaid and the drama queens dress are here and ready to wear. My 1 bridesmaid has to find a bra and her dress might need to be taken in a little tiny bit to prevent 1 of her girls from making a surprise appearance lol. My sister (Maid of Honor) should have her dress by tomorrow, it shipped yesterday. So we shall see what needs to be done to that.

We bought D's wedding band last week.

We have our photographer (D's aunt) and our DJ (my brother). My dad is covering the alcohol and we're going to purchase a few bottles to mix drinks.

I have to start the center pieces and that might be a chore, but worth it *fingers crossed*, so stay tuned for pics!

All that we really need to get done now is my niece needs a dress (her mom is handling that) and we need to get some little things like a couple chalk boards and a couple frames :). Other than that, everything is D-O-N-E. Yay!!

{Wedding Wednesday}

I know! I know! I'm trying hard to contain myself right now! 47 days as of Tuesday (cause that's when I'm writing this post lol). I can not friggin' wait to get to this day! And so much has been getting done lately that I'm almost done planning completely. I can't believe me it has only taken me 2mo. to plan an entire wedding. All of the wedding websites (including weddingwire which is what I use and love) say it takes a year to plan. I disagree. Sure it does if you're spending $20k but we're not and I did it in 2 months..under 2 months actually lol. So it can be done ladies :).

I ordered the bridesmaids dresses Saturday and they were shipped today :).

I'm so excited to get them.

I also bought my dress (woohoo!!!) and my shoes (they're amazing!). I can not wait!

{She's going to be the death of me!!}

I know what you're thinking. How could 'this face' ever cause my death?! How could she possibly drive me that insane. Well I'm going to fill you in.

I was having a glorious day yesterday! I went shopping, got a ton of wedding stuff done (you'll hear about that soon). Upon pulling into my driveway I hear my phone go off (which automatically reminds me that I need to change my ringer from Alvin & the Chipmunks). I pick it up, a number I don't know, I answer, "Is Mrs. Myers in?" (which made me laugh a little bit), "Speaking." It was The Drama Queens teacher. My mind went to 'oh lord what did she do now?' Not because she gets in trouble a lot at school, it's because she hasn't gotten in trouble recently, so she was about due lol.

He goes on to inform me that the Drama Queen has been telling him that she doesn't know where her homework is and when he went through her desk, he found it, a week and a half worth of home!! Of course by now I'm super annoyed because I ask her every.single.night if she has homework. She says no or she says yes and then spends 10min. doing it. I just make sure that 'yes' she got it done. Well apparently she isn't bringing her homework home anymore. *sigh*

But that's not all folks. Oh no. He then says that she is struggling in math (which has always been a hard subject for her, since she first started school). He also says that it's hard for her to learn the math when she is reading her library book during math. At this point I am starting to see red cause she just admitted to me the other day that she does that and I told her to knock it off, that she can't learn her math if she isn't paying attention to what he says. It's impossible.

So she spent the better part of the evening throwing fit after fit, snot bubbles and all, because she "didn't understand what to do" on her math homework from a week ago. But once I told her I was going to start taking things away from her if she didn't knock it off (and then followed through after she looked at me and broke the lead of her pencil), she got it done. She got it done folks and she did it on her own with no help. She knew exactly how to do it, she just didn't want to do it. That is her main problem.

So she is currently grounded from all things fun until the F she is receiving in math is brought up to at least a C.

So that is how that face, that little girl, is going to drive me crazy enough to die.

She isn't that cute little 2yr old anymore...she's a heathen pre-teen who's hell bent on making me crack.

{Wedding Wednesday}

I know I haven’t been blogging too much lately. I just don’t have anything interesting to blog and I don’t want to sit here and take up space with my rambling. But here I am back with another Wedding Wednesday post!

I am so excited to finally be able to post that I’m getting things done for this wedding. Aside from the hall being booked, we haven’t really done anything and with just 2 months to go (ahhh!) I am getting a little nervous. But I have finally managed to get some things done.

First up, I bought the guest book and I’m really happy that I thought up something original (or semi original since I saw it online lol) instead of just heading to wal-mart and buying a generic one. I wish I could find a picture of what I’m talking about, but google hates me today. It’s going to be awesome though :). I’m going to get some pink and metallic Sharpies. Then I can display them along side the wedding pictures in the living room :). Exciting!

I went to Hobby Lobby and ended up changing my mind about the center pieces too. They wanted $1.99 for 1 floating candle, I need way more than 1 lol. So I decided to use sand and votive candles instead.

I won’t have them hanging obviously, because I want them on the tables. But I thought it was a cute idea :).

I also managed to get the invites and RSVP’s printed off and in envelopes. I’m excited about everyone seeing them! I absolutely love them and Dreaming up Memories did an amazing job on them. Super happy! :)

Next week I should be posting about find the the dress. Hopefully. That will be exciting :).
