{Santa Claus Is Coming To Town | What We Got our Outdoors-man 15yr Old}

I'm not going to lie folks, I had little do with shopping for Gaige this year. He is so hard to buy for, he kind of always has been. He's really just a different kind of kid. We've always said he has an old soul. Even as a toddler it was like he was a seventy year old in a three year old's body. He liked to be outside and up at the shop with my grandpa. Sure he played with toys and stuff but he would always choose to be outside rather than in, if he was given that choice. Which is fine.

But if you know me at all, you know that I am not an outdoorsy kind of girl lol. I'm what I like to call a city country girl. Sure I like to fish and camp. But I refuse to sleep on the ground or anywhere that I might need to pee outside. If I can't get up in the morning and shower, or shower before bed, I don't want to be there. Gaige is not that way...at all. He spends the majority of his time at the river a few blocks from our house. Between him and three of his friends, he has made little camping areas. Cleared out brush and logs (even hauling a few home to chop here) and has even built little lean-to's.

A couple weeks ago he comes in the living room and says mom do you have a skillet I can take to the river? And he walked away with my mini cast iron skillet (that's probably been used three times...cause who only cooks one egg around here?).

So when I asked him to text me a list of things he wants for Christmas it didn't surprise me too much when at the top of the list was tarps. He also wanted a bow, some MRE's, and a saw.

So...I let D take over buying for him for the most part lol.

Which means we ended up with some real outdoorsy goodies.

Under the tree he has...

1. Camouflage tarps (two of them)
2. A huge package of rope
3. Cross Bow
4. Camping Egg holder (believe it or not he takes eggs in his pockets down to the river to make breakfast for himself and his friends...I thought this might make life easier for him).
5. Stanley thermos (he wanted this over the Yeti)
6. Some kind of multi-purpose ax (D got it for him lol)
7. Ax knife set
8. Cooler (because he said he needed one to carry food to and from the river)
9. 4 pack of Monster
10. Make America Great Again hat

His stocking was a little easier for me to fill. So I went and got him..

1. Zip ties
2. Gum tin
3. Beef jerky (steak tips)
4. Old Spice Deodorant
5. Dove "ball washer" lol
6. Harry's razor (from Target)
7. Poncho
8. Fire starter
9. Little nerf gun
10. Coal candy
11. Camping silverware
12. Summer sausage
13. Earbuds (cause I don't want to listen to his Youtube videos lol)
14. Bag clips (so he can attach them to his backpack and be able to carry more to the river with him)
15. American Flag Pop Socket
