Easiest person to buy for?

Taken at his 6th Birthday. Such a weirdo lol.

Little is by far the easiest to buy for. He's just excited to be getting something. Not that any of the kids would say they don't like something (they made that mistake a few years back and got everything taken from them), but he just doesn't care what he gets. Which of course makes me want to buy him everything he asks for. Which I kind of did lol.

Pictures of Christmas Decor

Oh girls, I wish you could have seen the Christmas decor my grandmother used to set up. Pictures don't do it justice (which is fine because I don't have any *sad face*). At one point she had 23 Christmas in her house, lights on every tree outside, and snowflakes hanging on ceiling in the living room. It was a true winter wonderland. Everyone who came over said something about how awesome it was. Which is probably why I'm so into decorating for Christmas myself :)

This is my Christmas tree. My grandma had it in her living room room for years and I always said that someday it would be in my living room :). For probably 10 years it sat in my grandparents ginormous storage shed where they hosted Christmas parties for our family. But this year my grandma decided not to do the parties anymore, that they were far too expensive and too much work. Not to mention my grandpa just kept stuffing more junk in there and nothing was going out o.O .

The tree is one of those old ones, you have to put each branch on one at a time, fluffing it as you go to make it look full. Originally my grandma said that it was a 10ft tree, it's obviously not now though. How did that happen? Oh she cut off some of the "trunk" so that it wouldn't show so much on the bottom. (Now do you all see where I get it? lol) Now it's about 8 1/2- 9ft. Which is perfect for our living room :) I'm so beyond excited to get a tree like this finally.

Each ornament on here has a memory attached. Each ornament reminds me of someone or a part of that Christmas or that holiday season for that year. The flag star (although you can't see the one at the very top which is pink with pearls on it...naturally ;) ) there that you see, was my great uncles. My grandma had it on there for the parties, and I put it back when I decorated it for my house. I thought it fit. And I love having a piece of my family on the tree.

Now the next tree is the one we've had for several years. Just a generic 7ft, pre-lit tree that we got on sale at walmart one year. Nothing super special. When I told G that we were going to put the big tree up downstairs he asked if we could put this tree up in his room. But there was nowhere to really put it. So we put it up in the toy room instead. He put on ornaments that my grandma had on the big tree and some Rudolph ornaments she gave me last year that she wasn't going to use. The best part of the whole tree though is the large star at the top of it. You know that Christmas I was telling you about in my last post where the family went to the cabin one year and we didn't get to go? Well, they cut down their own tree and my uncle made this star for the top. It's just cardboard and tin foil but it's awesome none the less. G loves having it up there. :)

Christmas of course isn't just about the tree(s). I've got other goodies set up too :)

The candy cane lantern that my grandmother didn't want anymore. And of course the cup and plate for Santas cookies & milk. My mom got these when we were kids and I hijacked them when G was little. Now Little Boy loves to put out the milk & cookies :)

We can't forget the snowman nativity scene that I love and other snowman cuteness :)

I of course have more things sitting out and hung up, but I think that's enough for now. How about you show me pictures of your Christmas decor? :)

Most Memorable Christmas

Honestly I don't remember too many Christmases that were so amazing that I would like to tell people all about them. I'm not going to sit here and say there aren't some that were pretty good. But if you want the truth, none of them were stellar. Which is kind of sad when I think about it.

A Christmas that I could tell you about though is from when I was about 13 or 14. You see, my grandparents along with all my aunts & uncles had decided to get a cabin a few years prior to this. They took us all the way to the cabin to check it out, it was friggin' amazing! Complete with tons of rooms, a hot tub, and a huge hill out the back door for sledding. But last minute our mom decided we couldn't go. Not because she didn't want to (because I know she did) but because my dad refused to go. *Eye roll* What kind of mother lets their children miss out on something like that (especially when they had already seen it so we knew what we were missing) just because their dad doesn't want to go. And I never have gotten an explanation for that one. I never will. *Sigh*

Anyway- to make up for that Christmas my gradparents went ahead and arranged this trip again to another cabin. Now, it wasn't as nice as the first. It was basically a house with a number of bedrooms and it didn't hardly snow that year so I don't really remember much sledding going on. But the part that was the most memorable, was spending that much time with my cousins. My aunts and uncles were all there, even the ones from Arkansas made it! Albeit late and my one uncle and I went searching for them after it got to be pretty late (this was of course before cell phones were in every ones purse and back pocket). It ended up being a pretty amazing Christmas. One that I won't soon forget happened, although nothing overly exciting came out of it lol.

I wish I had some pictures to show you, but like the cell phones, everyone there didn't have a camera. So all the pictures are at my grandparents house. I can tell you it is something I remember fondly enough that I want to do it with my kids one day. Pile all of my siblings in cars and make the drive to a real cabin to spend Christmas together.

Lets make it happen guys!!

Your favorite Christmas ornament

I honestly don't think I could pick 1 ornament that's my favorite. I have been collecting them since birth. My grandma gave each of us one every year until we were 18 or so. I think I have about 4 or 5 different Baby's First Christmas ornaments.

Next up should come as no surprise what so ever ;) I have 1 of just Kevin too. I never did find the other guys though.

The others are obviously the kids baby's first ornaments. Here is G's but Little Boy's is just a blue polka dot O lol. And Drama Queens is a teddy bear.

So there we have it :)

Best Gift You've Ever Received?

G was born on December 30th at 11:45pm. He was a little late to arrive for Christmas but still the best gift I got that year :)

And in 2007, on Oct. 3rd at 6:30am I got a very early Christmas gift. My best one that whole year :)

I have gotten several amazing gifts before, between, and since both of the boys but they are the ones that really stand out as the best gifts :)

When/how did you find out Santa wasn't real?

This is kind of a hard one. In don't think there was anyone thing that told me Santa wasn't real. Non older cousin or jerk at school told me there's no such thing. I just remember being about 8 maybe 7 and walking up to my grandpa and saying "I know Santa isn't real." And all he said was "oh really? What makes you think that?" I don't actually remember what I said after that. But I do remember laying there in bed and hearing sleigh bells ;). And I was sure that my little ears also heard someone walking around on the roof too lol.  I'm pretty sure that in kept believing after that but there was always doubt in the back of my head. And then eventually I just stopped believing.

Maybe it was seeing what I got in stores after Christmas. I don't know. Either way, it stopped being as exciting. And until I had G Christmas was never as exciting as when I was a kid.

{My Little Sings}

While I was going through my gallery on my phone I came across a couple videos that I really wanted to share :). I was going to post them on instagram but I didn't want to clog up everyone's feed lol. So anyway, here we go :)

Little is going to be in his first ever Christmas program next week :). I am so excited! I can't wait..and apparently neither can he. I caught him singing a little bit of one of the songs they are going to do the other day. Isn't he adorable?!

And then here we have this. D climbed on top of me and then in an a half ass attempt to help me little climbed on top of him lol.

So there you have 'em. Random yes but you like that! ;)

Happy Tuesday!

Your 2013 Christmas List

Normally I have a ton of things I want for Christmas. Most of them include something electronic. But this year I can't think of anything I want. I got my s3 for my birthday and even though I would love to have the galaxy tab 3 (which is what we got both G and the drama queen) but I don't really need it. My phone is amazing and I love it. In don't even want a new one lol. Which is rare for me cause I'm usually looking for the next amazing phone a month after I get the new one, but this one is perfect for me :). Anyway the point of this post is to list what I do want. So here we go.

1. The floors done in the kids rooms.
2. The bathroom remodeled.
3. Another bathroom added upstairs
4. The mud room done like it was supposed to be last summer
5. The kitchen remodeled
6. The living room floors done again the right way.
7. The dining room done finally 3yrs later
8. The baseboards in the living room put on
9. The front porch screened in
10. The yard landscaped the way it was supposed to be last summer

I think that's pretty much it. In won't get any of that for Christmas. But if I could have anything, those would be the things I want.

What do you want for Christmas?

Favorite Christmas Movie

I'm a Christmas movie lover. There is no way to pick just 1. So I've compiled a list of movies that I could watch over and over and not get tired of them.

1. Smokey Mountain Christmas: You can thank my grandmother for this one. She introduced me to it when I was a kid and I've never been able to go a whole Christmas season without watching it at least...4 or 5 times lol.

2. The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus
3. A Christmas Story (I couldn't find the whole movie on youtube)
4. The Year Without a Santa Claus These movies are my very favorite. I love them all from 'Twas the Night Before Christmas to Frosty the Snowman. They're all amazing and we watch them every single year.
5. Three Days A hallmark movie I fell in love with. It took me forever to find this movie!
And there we have it. 5 of my favorite movies to watch at Christmas! This isn't counting all the hallmark movies I love that I rediscover every year. I'm a Christmas movie addict ;). What are yours??
