{For the people who live or stay frequently in my house}

Dear Teenager, Drama Queen, and G-

At ages 15, 11, and 10 I would think you would be capable of picking up after yourselves. Obviously not. So I'm going to make a change to the way things are run around here. You may not like it, but since you don't pay the bills, I don't care :).

First of all- I am not the maid. Please do not forget this. I do not get paid for the work I do. When you have food on the table and clean clothes in your drawers it is because I love you and want you to have nice and clean things.

Second- The days of coming in and dropping your things inside the back door and running off to do whatever, are over. If I have to pick up or move your things, they will disappear. I should not have to tell kids as old as yourselves where your things go. You're not new around here. You know. Put them there, or lose them. End of story.

Third- If I have to pick up your things more than once to make them disappear, they will not be going "in my room" until you take better care of your stuff. Oh no. They will go to good will. I'm sure that if you don't care about an item enough to put it where it belongs, some other child will be happy to take it off your hands. Trust me.

Fourth- Trash goes in the trash can. Not on the bedroom floors (because you're not supposed to have food or drink upstairs anyway..and you are all 3 aware of this), the living room floor, or the kitchen table. It is just as easy for you to throw it away when you empty it as it is for me to pick it up once you're off doing something else. Because it's obviously pointless for me to say "I'm going to throw it away" as your punishment, I won't. Oh I'll still pick it up. Especially when you leave the garbage on my living room floor and then go home leaving me with the junk to clean up, obviously it's not going to sit there for a week. I will, however, have you clean the entire room, whichever one the garbage was found in. Maybe if you have to clean up other peoples junk you'll think twice about making me clean yours.

So there we have it. New rules. Deal with them or deal with the consequences. Your choice. Thanks.

Sincerely-
Not the damn maid.

{Here comes Peter Cottontail..}

Hoppin' down the bunny trail..hippity hoppity hippity hoppity Easters on it's way!

I am at a complete loss for what to put in G's Easter basket this year. The kid has always been hard to buy for and it's driving me absolutely friggin' crazy!

Then again I still don't know what to put in Little Boy's or Drama Queens baskets either. I got a few little things for both of them. I found Disney's Cars cars at Big Lots for $2each. which is a huge deal cause he looks at them at walmart and they're $6! Pfft. Not spending that on things they've been reselling for 7 years (at least). Sorry. D wants to get him some TMNT (Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtle) figures since he is so into them lately.

I'm thinking about getting them each a kite too :)

For Drama Queen I picked up some paper lunch bags with cupcakes on them, some erasers shaped like food, and that's it I think. I might pick up some $1 makeup at BigLots and put that in there. She has been really into makeup lately. Maybe some E.L.F. brushes? Never too early to learn about how to properly wear makeup. Especially when she had blue eyeshadow all over her eye area the other day.

G is just hard to shop for in general. He's into basically 2 things; all things military and all things police officer. It's kind of annoying actually. *sigh* Maybe I'll just go to the Army surplus store lol.

What are you putting in your kids Easter baskets this year?

{Am I What?!}

2 weeks ago at church a woman came up to me and said she was sorry for embarassing me the week before. I asked if she meant when she asked if I was pregnant. She said, "no honey I just wanna know when you get pregnant cause you have another baby in your future." Stop. Wait. What?!?! I died a little inside right at that moment lol. Would I welcome another baby? Sure. Absolutely! But do I want another baby? No. No way. Hell no. So last week while D's grandma was attending church with us, I asked her if I look pregnant. She can almost always tell and she has been right about the sex of every baby so far. She said yes, that I look pregnant. Of course I figure I have a belly on me, I have for a while. But I never figured I was pregnant. Until they started bringing it up. *sigh* Naturally this had me a little freaked out. So I went and bought a couple pee sticks. I took one that Sunday, it was negative. Like big negative lol. So I breathed a sigh of relief and went on with my day. The next morning I took another (because everyone knows your morning pee is best when testing), still negative. Thank you lord! But now I've got baby on the brain. And every little ailment I come up with has me wondering, could I be pregnant? This afternoon I was sick. I had a headache and my back hurt and while I was taking a bath, I almost lost my lunch. My stomach still isn't as settled as I would like. I just keep telling myself, "you are not pregnant". This happens about every 5 years. I got baby fever really bad when G and the Drama Queen started school. And now that Little Boy is about to start school in the fall, I want another one lol. There are just so many things I want to do differently when it comes to a baby though! I want to breastfeed again, I miss it so much. I want to cloth diaper, baby wear, and I really really want a water birth! I had planned on one with Little Boy but I was induced and the tub wasn't available *sad face* *tear*.

I don't want more babies, I like the freedom I have right now, Little boy is finally old enough to do things on his own and he doesn't need me quite as much. But I still miss having a baby. It's a catch 22. Blah.

I'm rambling again. I'm sorry. I shall let ya'll go :)

{My Dreams Have Been CRUSHED!!}

Nick Carter is ENGAGED!! I died a little bit when I saw this news pop up on my twitter feed. I'm just saying..lol. Suuure I've gotten married already and suuure I knew I was never going to meet him. But come on I've only been in love with the man since I was 13! *Sigh* *Tear*

But I'm super happy for them :)

{Home Schoolin' Again}

I think we should all remember 2 years ago when I decided not to enroll G back in our district (at the time) because they were refusing to give him the help he needed. In fact, they were going to hold him back a year and not give him any extra help at all. Which pissed me off. There is a reason they are one of the worst schools in the state (probably the country). Anyway- when we started in the new district last year I was very pleased with his teacher. I think she reminded him a lot of his grandmother and so he respected her quite a bit. I was so proud of how well he progressed. By the end of the year he was reading a little under his grade level and he was doing his work. I couldn't think of one bad thing to say about her at all.

This year I got a different vibe from his teacher. She didn't give off that "I want to help" feeling. I don't know, maybe it was just mother intution but I knew she was going to cause problems, and she did, right off the bat. She failed him on his spelling test because he used capital letters. Yeah. All the words were spelled right, but he got an F. I was pissed. So I told her not to do it anymore. I don't think she liked me after that. But he had such a rough time last year that I didn't want that kind of thing making him not want to try. Who cares if he uses capital letters? The words were spelled right. Still makes me mad when I think about it.

Anyway- a bunch of things unfolded after Christmas that I do not want to get into. They had me believing my kid was completely in the wrong, I later found out that is not the case at all. His behavior was a result of they (she) were speaking to him and treating him. He has never been a "kid" really. We speak to him like he's an adult and we expect him to behave in a certain way. He's pretty laid back and mellow when it comes to anything. Can he be a pain? Yeah, he's 10 lol. As a result of all the crap being dealt and the BS we started calling on the school (the teacher, principal, and superintendent were all backing each other up), D and I made the decision to home school the rest of the year and he could test back in next fall. He would be at a new school and if that didn't work out, we'd home school until he was ready to be at school. He's going to get an education no matter what obviously.

We signed him back up for Time 4 Learning which he loves, and I have plenty of friends to help me through the rest of the year with things he can do. We think we might have him do it through summer also so that he can maybe be a little ahead of the class next year. Or at least know what to expect as far as work? I don't know.

Another upside to this arrangement is that Little Boy wants to work on the computer too. We're signing him up for ABC Learning and he will do Pre-K and Kindergarten work. :) I'm pretty excited about it. Anything to help my boys get on the right track for next year is a good thing for us.

So that's what's going on with us...what's happening with you?

{Shut up Brain!!}

Don't you hate it when you're tired all.day.long but when you lay your head down on that nice soft pillow, your brain won't shut up so you can catch some much needed Z's? I do. It's happening to me as I type this. I'm tempted to knock back some Nyquil. But then I'd probably over sleep the doctors appointment I made for G for tomorrow. Why do I make doctors appointments so early? True true, 1130am is closer to noon than morning, but whatever. On a day that I don't have to be up, I don't want to be up. Such is life I suppose.

Drum practice before church at Dayspring United Methodist NAF.

All day during church all I could think was Good heavens please don't let me fall asleep in front of all these people. I had decided to sit in the front row (not where this picture was taken). I almost did at one point. I just could not keep my eyes open. It probably had something to do with D kicking me all night hogging up my bed. Which he will tell you didn't happen when we had the California King but let me tell you, it did.

We managed to get the ceiling almost completely painted on Saturday. Well, I say we like it wasn't just me. D came in in the last few minutes and told me I'd done it wrong and took over. Then he decided after about 15min. of complaining that he'd had enough and "we" were done for the day. Whatever. It looks way better white than that greenish khaki color. I don't have any pictures yet. I'll do another post about it when we get the crown molding up.

Also on Saturday The Teenager and I decided to head to the theater to see Mama. We went to the 9:20 show and I decided to go the comfy route :)

I've decided that if I ever go for a casual movie night again (meaning it's not a date night), I'm totally wearing PJ pants and a hoodie. Screw getting dressed up. I sat in a dark theater. Which reminds me, there was a guy that sat down about 2 seats down from me, who smelled so bad of cigarette smoke I almost spritzed him with Katy Perry perfume. Omg! And then he got up in the middle of the movie to go smoke. I was not a happy camper. But anyway- what what I talking about? Oh right, the movie was pretty good. Creepy in a few places but not really worth the money we paid to see it (which was ridiculous just so you're aware! Holy crap!). I didn't like the ending. I thought it was stupid. In the end it was a renter but it was a good little girl date :-).

I'm not pregnant. The Teenager keeps telling me that cause I'm gassy and can't get full, I'm knocked up. DISLIKE!! I am not. No more babies coming out of me missy!

Hmmm...is there anything else I would like to ramble on about? *thinks* I guess not. so I'll leave you, at 11:30pm to read my book. Oh! That's something to talk about. I bought a book today at walmart for $9. Honestly I don't buy books anymore on a whim cause the last time I did, I didn't read it..oops. But this one is 2 books in 1, both by Alyson Noel called Keeping Secrets. I'm only 3 pages in but so far so good. I'm sure I'll do a little review on it when I'm done :-). What are you guys reading?

OK...now I'm done :-) Good night folks!

{A work in progress Pt 1}

Almost 3 years after we moved in and I'm just now getting to paint the living room. *sigh* We're so...broke lol. But here it is so far.

The Befores:

The living room.

The built in's the are right outside the bedroom door & in the living room.

Afters:
Painted orange with brown floors, trim, and built in's.

The livingroom all torn up while painting lol. I love it!

 The new couch! Thank you Costco!!

The trim isn't done yet, we went to buy the rest of it and it was all gone. Annoying. And the ceiling is being painted white tomorrow. I hate painting at this point lol. I just want the damn room done. We'll still have to get the rods for the sheers (windows) and the crown molding (white also). It's coming together quite nicely though and I'm glad that it's finally ours. Before it was just a house we lived in and someone else decorated it. Now it's mine, ours, it's something I did. Ya know? I love it :).

I'll post more updates as we get things done :). I'm hoping the white ceiling will brighten up the room and make the ceiling a little higher (even though they're already 10ft).

{Ulta Target & Rue21 Haul!}

D and I got our returns back! So guess who got to go shopping? ME!! *Squeals with excitement*

The teenager, drama queen, and I set off around noon today and didn't get back until around 5:30. We hit up all the major stores. I didn't buy a whole lot from any one store. I like to make smaller purchases I guess. Anyway- here's what I got.

From Rue21 I got 2 shirts (both on clearance). The first one is a silky half sleeve with studs on the pockets. The other is a sheer long sleeve with a rib cage and heart. I loved them both!

At Ulta (one of my favorite stores) I got only 2 things. The Urban Decay Naked Basics pallet and Big Sexy Hair root plumper (or something like that). I've wanted to get the Naked Basics for a long time! I'm excited to try it out!

From Bath & Body Works I got an item from the Paris Amour line, body butter. I also picked up some Rose salve because I've been wanting to try it for a long time. Then I grabbed some car spray that smells like fresh linen. Should make for a smelly good car.

Then we stopped at Target where I picked up some top coat, repurchased my Revlon Color Stay foundation, and got myself a set of Sonia Kashuk brushes :). I also managed to spend the rest of my gift card from D's grandma. I'm a happy camper.

But the fun doesn't stop there kids! We went to TJMaxx last and I found a new bag!
(Excuse the clothes on the floor...I'm lazy) My new Steve Madden bag!! I am in love with it! There was a Michael Kors one that I wanted so friggin' bad but I couldn't see spend $119 on it :(. This one retails for $100 and I got it for $50!! I'm so excited about it!

So there you go, my haul. See ya'll later!

{Puppy Adventures!}

We have lived in this town for 2 years and today (of all days) I chose to go to the dog park. It's freezing out. My phone tells me it's 30*. I'm shivering just thinking about it! But Boss and Prissy have been cooped up all winter and really needed a release. So off we went.

Boss found a fun spot to begin his adventure right out of the gate!

Prissy chose to run between me and daddy for most of the trip. That seems the most fun!

She was so excited to run that she could hardly contain herself!

And of course they took turns peeing on every single thing in the fenced area. Including the fence.

"You can not have all the mommy attention Boss Hogg!!"-- as she smashed into him.

Boss ended his adventure in mommy's coat :-) He was one shivering little booger.

So there you have it. Adventures in puppy land :-). Who doesn't love to see pics of a sweet little puppy? OK OK!! They're not puppies, he's 8 and she's 1 but they're still just puppies ;-)
