{The Downside of a Fitbit Flex}

Now I can only speak for the Flex, because that's the only one I've had experience with, so all fitbits might not be equal. This is also my opinion and what I've noticed after wearing it for the last few months. So here we go.

I love my fitbit. I'd been looking or a step counter for a long time and just never managed to make myself splurge on a brand name one. So D did it for me. He got me the fitbit flex in pink for Christmas.

{Easter Sunday!}

I know I didn't post today yet, I was off at the dentist with Gaige. The kid had two cavities and then still refuses to brush his teeth correctly. I don't know what to do with him anymore. Uuugh.

But Easter went pretty well for us. I put the baskets out a little earlier than I usually do, and before Owen was asleep. Which was my first mistake. I went in the bedroom for about two seconds and D calls me back out saying that Owen had come down and seen them. I was slightly annoyed. But I went ahead and let them have them early. Of course Dawn wouldn't come down stairs though so the boys opened theirs without her.

{Best Night of My Life! #AllAmericanTour }

I am aware that I've given birth twice and gotten married to a man I love dearly. But I'm just going to be completely honest here, I think Saturdays Nick Carter show tops all three of those. I'm not even sorry I feel that way lol. I am over the moon about the events of that day and I'm going to share them with you right now!

D and I wanted to get to Chicago early, not only to beat the traffic but because we wanted enough time to find a place to park and have lunch. {I Got My FOID Card!!}

For those that don't know what that is it's a Firearms Owner Identification Card. And I got mine a couple weeks ago!

Why did I get a FOID Card? To be completely honest I got one because everyone seems to have one these days. Including both of my brothers, my sister-in-law and my brother-in-law (he hunts). Do got his a few years ago and since taking his concealed carry class (a fond getting his license), he has kind of been pushing for me to get mine too.

{Parenting Ain't Easy}

I am always juggling appointments and meetings. Since D works nights he's not usually available to help me so I have to just figure it out on my own. I'm not complaining,  I'm just saying that's how it goes sometimes.

Yesterday I had Gaiges IEP meeting. My own stupid mom brain kicked in when I scheduled it at 3pm. Owen doesn't even even get out of school until after 3. So I had to pick him up early. I would have picked Dawn up early also but with her grades I didn't want to pull her away from a class she needed to be in. So I figured I could just leave her and pick her up late. No big deal she's 13.

{I'm Fat..}

I know I've made weightloss posts before. I've said I'm giving up soda, junk food, fast food. I've said I'm going to go to the gym. Then I bought the treadmill and vowed to walk every single day. I'm awful at keeping my word when it comes to my fitness. I'm not sure if it's a motivation thing or if I'm just defeated when it comes to this stuff. What I do know is that I need to do something.

{So Spoiled!}

I have been a baker since I was old enough to understand what a cookie was. My grandma made cookies, cakes, pies, all the goodies for us all the time growing up. So naturally when I had kids, I did the same. I bake all the time for them. Usually with Owen in the kitchen helping too.

Although I've have good luck with my mixer (a Hamilton Beach stand/hand mixer bought for me for Christmas about five years ago I think) I have always had my eye on a Kitchenaid stand mixer. I've loved them since I watched my very first baking show. I always figured they were just too pricey for me though. Thinking I'd never have one unless I lucked into one on a garage sale site I went about making my cookies and cakes and muffins in my good enough mixer.

{I Can Clean Again!}

I am by no means a neat freak. In fact, my house is almost always a disaster. I've got three kids who refuse to put anything where it goes and a husband who does the same. It's infuriating but such is life with other people in your house right?

But when I do happen to get in the mood to really clean the house, I want it clean. I don't want to vacuum and an hour later be stepping on things the vacuum missed. That is a serious pet peeve of mine. So when my Shark vacuum that we bought five years ago started to skip over almost everything I started getting more than a little annoyed. It's near impossible to keep up with the vacuuming and make the house look like we're not squatters when the tool I'm using to clean with leaving half of what needs to off the floor behind.

{Dinner is Served!}

When D and I went grocery shopping this past Friday he picked up some premade pizza crusts from Aldi. The boys have both been little pizza-holics lately so we figured they would like making their own!

We tried it for the first time tonight (after much hounding from Owen after we told him we had them). I have to say it was kind of a success!
